The Best Window Cleaner

I'm using this recipe and love it, so I thought I'd share! I knew to use vinegar, but adding the bit of dishwash liquid works wonders. Plus, this is completely safe to inhale, which is so important when cleaning with little ones around. (Oh, and it's super cheap, too!)

Just out of curiosity, does this cleaner smell like vinegar? If not, I'd like to try it. I've tried making cleaners with vinegar before, and I can't stand the smell. But I've never put dishwashing liquid in them, so I'm hoping it masks the vinegar scent.

It is much fainter than other vinegar concotions I've tried...I bet if you used a lavender scented dishwash liquid, that would make it even better. The ratio of this one is much less vinegar than others - I think I tried one once that was equal part vinegar/water, and that one is strong on the vinegar scent. It was faint, that's how I'd put it. It didn't linger.

That sounds good! I'm going to try it. The kids love to wash the windows for me, but I don't like spraying the (off brand) Windex around them. The Kirby vacuum people called this week and wanted to come shampoo some of my carpet for free. I let them come because I had some spots I wanted them to try to get out, and they buffed the kitchen floor tiles using Windex while they were here. The smell was so strong for a long time. Yuk! Of course they tried to sell me a Kirby. They wanted $1900. For a vacuum cleaner! It's nice, but I don't think so!
